Ina signs the profession documents, watched by Anita Mertens.
On Friday October 28th 2005 Ina Coles made her final vows as a VDB (Volunteer of Don Bosco), after six and a half years of temporary profession. The ceremony took place in the chapel of the Kiltegan Fathers (Missionaries of St Patrick) in Molesey, Surrey (Ina's home parish).
Her vows were received by Anita Mertens, President of the VDB Institute, who came specially from Belgium for the occasion. Mass was celebrated by Fr Michael Winstaney SDB, Provincial of the Salesians of Don Bosco, and also present were representatives from other branches of the Salesian Family (SDB, FMA, Cooperators, Past Pupils and Vides).
VDB's are a secular branch of the Salesian Family where single women live a consecrated life, living at home and working in a field of their choice but bringing to it the distinctive Salesian Charism.
