Cowley Reunion - 16th October 2005

I am just back from the Cowley AGM. It was a most enjoyable day at the Four Pillars Hotel at Sandford on Thames. Mass was celebrated at the Cowley Salesian Parish Church by Father Peter Quinn SDB with Father Joe Merriman SDB concelebrating.

Among the special guests were the former Doctor to the Cowley School and his wife, also a Doctor.

The Doctor's parting joke after lunch was his mimicking a visiting Italian Priest who asked to speak to the boarding boys after night prayers. He asked a rhetorical question of the boys and went on to answer the question with his Italian accent "It is to shave your souls". This brought a great laugh from those at the luncheon.
