This highly readable little book is an excellent introduction to St Mary Mazzarello.
She was co-founder of a global religious congregation, yet she lived most of her life in Mornese, a small farming village in Piedmont, Italy.
Like Don Bosco, she had a vision of being entrusted to care for poor young people - in her case, the girls of her rural area, and together with him, she founded the Salesian Sisters, to give education, training and hope to young women using the principles Don Bosco had formulated in his work with the boys of Turin.
